“The Lord said, “I was ready to answer my people’s prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, ‘Here I am; I will help you.’ I have always been ready to welcome my people, who stubbornly do what is wrong and go their own way. They shamelessly keep on making me angry. They offer pagan sacrifices at sacred gardens and burn incense on pagan altars. At night they go to caves and tombs to consult the spirits of the dead. They eat pork and drink broth made from meat offered in pagan sacrifices. And then they say to others, ‘Keep away from us; we are too holy for you to touch!’ I cannot stand people like that – my anger against them is like a fire that never goes out.
“I have already decided on their punishment, and their sentence is written down. I will not overlook what they have done, but will repay them for their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They have burned incense at pagan hill shrines and spoken evil of me. So I will punish them as their past deeds deserve.”
Isaiah 65:1-7
“But it will be different for you that forsake me, who ignore Zion, my sacred hill, and worship Gad and Meni, the gods of luck and fate. It will be your fate to die a violent death, because you did not answer when I called you or listen when I spoke. You chose to disobey me and do evil. And so I tell you that those who worship and obey me will have plenty to eat and drink, but you will be hungry and thirsty. They will be happy, but you will be disgraced. They will sing for joy, but you will cry with a broken heart. My chosen people will use your name as a curse. I, the Sovereign LORD, will put you to death. But I will give a new name to those who obey me. Anyone in the land who asks for a blessing will ask to be blessed by the faithful God. Whoever takes an oath will swear by the name of the faithful God. The troubles of the past will be gone and forgotten.”

Isaiah 65:11-16

Half an hour of weeding a garden this morning gave me plenty of time to weed my soul!
That’s a practice that the Lord takes me through every once in a while (more often than I would want, lol!) But, it comes at His perfect timing!

In preparation for weeding my flower garden I bought gloves and tools and put them into a caddy to help me move easily. My husband provided me with a big square foam pad so that I could bend over and kneel down to work faster and with less pain (this old body is giving me a good run for the money, lol!)
But, unknown to me, the Lord had me prepare when I went to a local church yesterday. The church is as big as the one we attended in Wyoming. Great worship time (although calm and different). Great transitions for each part of the service! (My only observation was that the offering “box” was outside the sanctuary. So, here I thought that they shouldn’t have taken the “offering” out of the “worship service”! Just my humble, worshipper’s observation). GREAT preaching/teaching! I took notes, I listened, I meditated, I took more notes, the Lord spoke to me, I cried and repented!

So, as I knelt down for about 5 minutes at a time, I had a chance to think of my own “sinner’s condition.” What a condition! It is much worse than any “cancer!” I tell you!
And, Facebook? Let me tell you, friends, Facebook is not only one of the greatest inventions of the century, but it can also be used of God to speak to you and change your heart! I say that from experience! On Facebook you can really “see” the heart of a person! On FB you can really “sense” how people feel about things and people! “On FB you can really “get to know” people, your own family and yourself! On FB!

So, to finish my day yesterday (besides Germany’s great victory over Argentina! Or as they are saying in Brazil, the ‘Germanos’ against the “Hermanos’! Lol) the Lord, my Father, the One who loves me unconditionally, used a post to speak to me. He used my own words to reveal a little more of myself and of someone else. He used that interchange to reveal Himself to me!
So, as I “expose” myself on my blogs, my posts, FB, real life and to real life friends, the Lord continues to bring healing to my soul! He is definitely weeding my soul of junk and ridding myself of sins!

What is he doing in your life, today? Care to share? Please, use the comments on Facebook to do that!
Have a blessed and glorious “weeding day!” The “Wedding Day” is coming up in 150 days!!!!! Wooooohhhhhhoooooooo!

Neide Colson.
